Online activity-based research
How to promote quality of online research besides cost and time effectiveness?
Doing research online is not enough. The Internet offers us researchers completely new possibilities in engaging with participants. I call my approach ‘activity-based’ because rather than asking questions, I give participants tasks and activities to do and ask them to report their findings online.
This consists of: writing a diary, going to the local shop, trying out a new product, interviewing the neighbor and so on.
